Privacy policy

In short: we use your data only to answer your request and to keep the site secure. We don’t sell it, we don’t market with it and we don’t track you across the web.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

2. What we collect

  • From the quote form: your name, email address, company and phone (the last two optional), the services you pick, the project’s stage and timeline, and your message.
  • When you email or call us: whatever the message or conversation contains.
  • Technical data, for security: your IP address and browser information, used to block bots and abuse. For rate limiting we keep the IP address only as an irreversible code (a hash), for at most 24 hours.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To reply and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To protect the site and the form from abuse: our legitimate interest in running a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • If you become a client: to perform the contract and meet legal obligations such as accounting (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles.

4. Who else has access

A few providers process data on our behalf, only as far as needed:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, security (including the Turnstile bot check) and email forwarding.
  • Google LLC (Gmail): the inbox where your requests and messages arrive.

These providers may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Transfers rely on GDPR safeguards: the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

  • Quote requests that don’t lead to a contract: deleted within 90 days after the conversation ends.
  • Technical anti-abuse identifiers: at most 24 hours.
  • If you become a client: for the length of our work together, then as long as accounting and tax law requires (usually 5 to 10 years, depending on the type of document).

6. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@illustrus.ro and we’ll reply within one month.

You may also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP): www.dataprotection.ro.

7. Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), strict security policies and anti-abuse checks. Only the founder of Illustrus can see incoming requests.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use no marketing or analytics cookies. Details are in the Cookie policy.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we publish the new version here with its update date. The Romanian version prevails.
